Dr. Debora Wallingford

Dr. Debora Wallingford

Veterinarian

When Dr. Wallingford was younger, her parents told her “You can do anything you set your mind to.” She took heed to their words, and set her mind towards helping save the lives of animals. Today, she’s a veterinarian at the Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue, so it’s safe to say that she has fulfilled her dreams!

Dr. Wallingford vividly remembers reading the book “The Incredible Journey” during her youth. She was absolutely mesmerized by the resilience, courage, intelligence and dedication that animals possess. The fascinating bond between humans and animals is one that she decided to center her life around.

While growing up in Ralson, NE Dr. Wallingford was in a household that had several pets. She enjoyed being around animals so much that she began volunteering at the local veterinary clinic all throughout high school. 

She attended and graduated from Kansas State University, and then at the suggestion of her aunt, ended up venturing to the Pacific Northwest to pursue her career. Eventually Dr. Wallingford found herself in Seattle and realized Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue was the perfect place for her!

Dentistry is the favorite part of Dr. Wallingford’s career. Knowing that she’s helping improve the quality of life and health for a pet is a gratifying feeling. Another aspect of the job that she loves is helping mentor students who show an interest in veterinary medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Wallingford enjoys spending time with her husband and two college-aged daughters. Her pets include a rescue greyhound, a poodle named Hazel and 2 adorable cats. You might catch her playing the piano, singing, traveling, or simply curled up on the couch reading a good book!

Dr Julia Nixon Fernandez

Dr. Julia Nixon Fernandez

Veterinarian

Dr Julia Nixon Fernandez joined Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue in 2024, and enjoys the challenges of internal medicine cases.  Dr. Fernandez grew up in Kirkland, WA  and has always had many pets, including her present 3 kitties and one dog.

In her spare time, Dr. Fernandez spends time with family and loves to garden, cook and play games. She can also speak Spanish and German conversationally and basic Japanese.

Dr. Valerie Hargett

Dr. Valerie Hargett

Veterinarian

Dr Valerie Hargett has joined our team! She graduated from WSU in 2000 and will be working most Mondays with us.  Born and raised right here in Bellevue, Dr Hargett loves everything about the Pacific Northwest. Dr Hargett has special interest in dermatology and geriatric medicine.

On weekends Dr Hargett enjoys hiking, canoeing, watching her favorite sports teams or just playing in her garden.

She looks forward to meeting your pet!

Dr. Meghan Erickson

Dr. Meghan Erickson

Veterinarian

Dr. Erickson graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and has spent the subsequent years traveling and working around the United States. She has been living and working as a relief veterinarian in the greater Seattle area for the last five years.

Dr. Erickson values thoughtful conversations with clients and approaches each visit with care, attention to detail, and gentle, low-stress handling.

She is excited to return to Cat & Dog Clinic of Bellevue to work with clients and their pets.

In her free time, you’ll find Dr. Erickson hiking all over the PNW with her family!
