Tate

Licensed Veterinary Technician

There is a certain kind of patience that comes from a commitment to continued education, and for Tate, that mindset shapes both the work they do and how they connect with others. Starting as a Veterinary Assistant, that role grew into something more, leading to veterinary technician school and a deeper understanding of a field that is always evolving. The drive to keep learning, improving, and doing more for patients continues to guide Tate each day in the clinic. That steady commitment to growth allows Tate to approach each case with curiosity and intention.

Since joining Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue in October 2023, Tate has focused on building meaningful connections with both pets and their owners. Working closely with clients allows Tate to gain a better understanding of how to keep pets healthy and supported through every stage of life. For Tate, veterinary medicine goes beyond treatment and centers on communication, education, and trust. Taking the time to explain care and answer questions helps create a more supportive experience for both pets and the people who care for them.

Tate’s commitment to animal education extends beyond the clinic. With a personal connection to avian care through their own pets, Tate is passionate about sharing reliable information and advocating for birds, especially parrots, who are often misunderstood and mishandled. To advocate for these species, Tate runs an online account dedicated to educating others on proper avian care.

At home, life includes a cocker spaniel mix named B Dawg and two parrots, Archie and Peep. Each brings a different kind of energy into the day and reinforces the importance of species specific care and behavior.

Outside of work, Tate enjoys creative outlets that provide balance and expression. Tate also enjoys making art, playing the guitar, and skateboarding, all of which offer a different kind of focus that complements the work done in the clinic.

Rebecca

Rebecca

Veterinary Assistant

Some people measure their work in years, but for Rebecca, it is measured in relationships. Since joining Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue in December 2009, she has been part of thousands of visits, building familiarity with patients and earning the trust of the people who care for them. Over time, that consistency has turned into something clients recognize the moment they walk through the door.

Rebecca’s approach to veterinary medicine is grounded in connection. Building rapport with both patients and their owners is not just part of the job, it is what allows her to provide care that feels thoughtful and dependable. She understands that trust is not automatic, it is built through small, consistent interactions that make both pets and their owners feel more at ease.

Her role as a Veterinary Assistant reflects that same steady presence. Rebecca is involved in every part of the clinic experience, from routine vaccinations and ear cleanings to processing lab samples, assisting with dentistry, and supporting surgical procedures. She values the variety in her work and takes pride in doing each task well, knowing that even the smallest details contribute to a pet’s overall care. She also enjoys supporting her team and contributing to a smooth, efficient workflow each day. Client education is also a key part of her role, helping owners feel more confident in how they care for their pets at home.

Outside of the clinic, Rebecca enjoys hands-on hobbies that mirror the patience she brings to her work. She spends time knitting and crocheting, along with cooking and baking, where precision and care make all the difference. Gardening offers a slower pace, while doll collecting reflects an appreciation for detail and craftsmanship.

At home, Rebecca shares her life with Beau, an English Cocker Spaniel, and Annie, a miniature Poodle, who continue to reinforce the connection that has shaped her work for more than a decade.

Chelsea

Veterinary Assistant

Some of Chelsea’s favorite moments in veterinary medicine happen during the simple interactions that other people might overlook. A nervous dog slowly calming down after being greeted gently, a cat peeking out of its carrier after a stressful car ride, or an owner relaxing after hearing reassurance that their pet is going to be okay are the kinds of moments that stay with her. Those everyday connections are what made Chelsea realize she loved not only caring for animals, but also helping the people who care deeply about them.

Since joining Cat & Dog Clinic of Bellevue in June 2025, Chelsea has enjoyed being part of a team environment that feels more like family than simply a workplace. She values working alongside people who genuinely support one another while sharing the same goal of helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout every visit. That welcoming atmosphere quickly became one of her favorite parts of working in veterinary medicine.

As a Veterinary Assistant, Chelsea especially enjoys connecting with pets and their owners throughout the day. Building relationships with clients over time and getting to know the personalities of their pets is something she finds especially rewarding. She understands veterinary visits can sometimes feel emotional or overwhelming, and she enjoys helping create a calmer, more comforting experience for both animals and their families.

Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her boyfriend and 5-year-old son. Her home is also filled with plenty of personality thanks to Rat, her German Shepherd, Neo, her Great Dane, and two Flame Point Siamese mix cats named Flip and Manny. Between the playful energy of the dogs and the unique personalities of the cats, there is rarely a quiet moment in the house.

For Chelsea, veterinary medicine is built on trust, compassion, and the meaningful bond people share with their pets every day..

Brianna

Veterinary Assistant

Brianna knows that some of the most important moments in veterinary medicine happen before an exam even begins. A gentle approach, a calming presence and a little extra patience can make all the difference for a nervous pet. As a Veterinary Assistant, she is passionate about helping animals feel comfortable and safe, especially during moments that might otherwise feel overwhelming.

Since joining Cat & Dog Clinic of Bellevue in March 2024, Brianna has brought that patient approach to every patient she meets. She was drawn to veterinary medicine because she wanted to help animals maintain their health while receiving care in a more fear-free environment. To her, the work is not only about treatments and procedures. It is about creating positive experiences for pets and helping them feel more at ease during their visits.

Outside the clinic, Brianna enjoys painting, gardening and reading. These hobbies give her a chance to slow down, be present and focus on the details, qualities that naturally carry over into the care she provides each day.

Brianna also shares her home with two special companions, Harv and Davi, both of whom were adopted from the clinic. Having pets that came from the same place she works makes her connection to veterinary medicine even more meaningful. Watching them thrive serves as a daily reminder of the impact compassionate care can have long after a patient leaves the hospital. For Brianna, helping animals stay healthy, comfortable and cared for is more than a job. It is what makes her work rewarding every day.

Julie

Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist

Julie knows some of the strongest connections in life can happen without a single word being spoken. Animals have always been a steady source of comfort for her, offering quiet companionship during difficult moments and a kind of unconditional support that felt impossible to replace. That connection stayed with her over the years and eventually became the reason she wanted to work in veterinary medicine herself. To Julie, caring for animals is deeply personal because she understands how much healing and comfort pets can bring into someone’s life.

Since joining Cat & Dog Clinic of Bellevue in January 2024, Julie has enjoyed working in both the front and back areas of the clinic as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist. Being part of both roles allows her to support pets and owners throughout their entire visit, from welcoming families through the front doors to helping comfort patients during treatment and care.

Some of Julie’s favorite moments happen when nervous pets begin to relax and trust the people around them. She understands that veterinary visits can feel overwhelming for both animals and owners, and she enjoys helping create a calmer and more reassuring experience during those stressful situations. Watching frightened pets slowly settle in with patience, gentle attention, and kindness is one of the parts of her work she finds most rewarding.

Outside of the clinic, Julie enjoys reading, building and driving remote control cars, watching anime, and collecting Pokémon-related items. At home, she spends time with her cat Buddy, whose companionship continues to remind her why animals hold such an important place in people’s lives.

For Julie, veterinary medicine is not simply about helping pets medically. It is about returning the same comfort, loyalty, and emotional support animals have given to her throughout her own life.

Jessica

Lead Receptionist

The front desk is where everything begins, and for Jessica, no two days ever look the same. One moment might be routine, the next completely unexpected, and that constant shift is exactly what she has come to appreciate most. Since joining Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue in late August 2022, she has built her role around being the steady presence in the middle of it all, helping create structure in an environment that is always moving.

Jessica understands that for many clients, walking through the door comes with questions, concerns, or uncertainty. Being the first person they meet gives her the opportunity to shape that experience from the very beginning. By helping pet owners navigate appointments, understand next steps, and feel more informed, she creates a sense of calm in what can sometimes feel overwhelming. That ability to connect and guide others is what makes the work meaningful to her and keeps her engaged each day.

Each day brings something different, and that variety keeps her engaged. From coordinating the flow of the clinic to supporting her team and communicating clearly with clients, Jessica plays a key role in keeping everything moving forward. She takes pride in making a difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them, even in small but important ways that build trust over time.

Outside of the clinic, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and surrounding herself with things that bring her joy. She has a love for collecting pieces inspired by 1980s nostalgia, along with listening to music and taking walks with her husband and mom. These moments offer balance and a chance to recharge.

At home, Jessica shares her life with her pet, Colby Jack, who adds a familiar and comforting presence to her daily routine and reflects the reason she enjoys this work so much.

Mars

Receptionist

Some people find their place over time. Mars found hers through connection with the people and pets around her. Since joining Cat and Dog Clinic of Bellevue in the summer of 2024, she has stepped into a role where those connections happen naturally throughout the day. A familiar face at the front desk, a moment spent getting to know a pet, or helping someone feel more at ease all build into something meaningful over time. That consistency helps create a more comfortable and welcoming experience for both pets and their owners.

Mars is drawn to the relationships that grow in a space like this. She enjoys recognizing returning clients, learning the personalities of their pets, and being part of the small interactions that make visits feel more personal. For her, the front desk is not just about check-ins and scheduling. It is about creating an environment where people feel welcomed, supported, and understood from the moment they walk in.

A strong team dynamic is also a big part of what makes her role fulfilling. Mars values the close, positive environment she shares with her coworkers, where support and collaboration are part of each day. That connection within the team helps create a smoother experience for everyone and allows the clinic to provide consistent care.

Outside of the clinic, Mars enjoys creative outlets that allow her to express herself and recharge. She spends time drawing, journaling, reading, writing, and singing, all of which give her space to slow down and reflect. These creative interests bring balance and allow her to approach each day with a refreshed perspective.

At home, Mars shares her life with her cat, Morning Star, and her two dogs, Frank and Monty. Each brings a different kind of personality and energy, reflecting the same connections that make her work meaningful every day.
